Finding Goddard by Deborah Hugill - September 2012

Finding Goddard was our entry to Sedgefield One-Act Drama Competition in September 2012. A comedy, it shows what happens when God is found living in a North Yorkshire village disguised as a retired painter and decorator. The exposure to the world's media is too much for him and he seeks the help of a publicist to help him cope. With the help of the Heavenly Hostesses, three ladies from his village, he becomes a media superstar but then the backlash starts, and things spiral out of control. Will Mr Goddard take his ultimate revenge?

The play won Best Supporting Actor (Andrew McMinn) and was nominated for best costume (Rosemary Scott, Susan Edwards, Jean Beavis), best cameo (James Bindoff, Leanne Dunning), and the ensemble award (all cast).
